It all started in 2007 with seven employees and ECM technology. However, we quickly developed the latter further and included processes such as cleaning, drying and automation in our portfolio. Over the years, we also added PECM technology and micro laser machining, so that today we can offer our customers everything from feasibility testing to series production, from classic machine solutions to completely new approaches in the fields of PECM, ECM and laser precision machining. With a team that has grown tenfold since our founding, we are now working on new innovations and topics of the future - for example, AI-supported component testing.
Our employee Maximilian Ritter experienced the spirit of innovation at stoba Customized Machinery when he wrote his bachelor's thesis at the company: "stoba is very, very diverse, the hierarchies are flat, the working atmosphere is very open and the togetherness is very comradely," he reports. "You can really feel how forward-looking the work is here." That's why he sees his future at the company as no less varied than his experience during his thesis: "We're always evolving, so there will continue to be exciting tasks in the future." He would recommend writing his thesis at stoba Customized Machinery to anyone: "The range of topics is huge and you can also make your own suggestions. But you should also be prepared to make your own decisions and take responsibility, because you are a permanent part of the team."

stoba Brno has been part of the stoba Group since 2016 and is our Center of Excellence for unique hard machining technology for processing valve surfaces and profiles. What makes this technique special is that it is an extension of technology from the watch industry. Today, it provides us with highly precise surfaces with extremely low tolerances.
Cutting machine operator, technical product designer, electronics technician for automation technology, industrial clerk, and warehouse logistics professional – stoba offers a wide range of apprenticeships, which has been an important part of our future-oriented approach for decades. There are currently 46 apprentices training in Memmingen and Backnang. Why did you decide to join stoba? How is the apprenticeship going in this exceptional situation? These are the most important qualities that Ulrich Schwerin, Human Resources Manager at stoba Customized Machinery in Memmingen, mentions when asked about the desired qualifications of potential applicants.
He is currently looking for new colleagues for the Memmingen site in a wide range of areas - and places great importance to ensuring that they really fit in with the company and the existing team.
