stoba Yantai was officially founded on December 30, 2013, and quickly grew to become a highly esteemed and important part of the stoba Group. The business unit, headquartered in Memmingen, has a unique selling point with its all-in-one offer of a 24/7 service hotline, personal contacts, and the option of remote maintenance.

It all started here in November 1961 with the founding of stoba Präzisionstechnik: In the Swabian town of Backnang, the first and oldest of all stoba locations.

Cutting machine operator, technical product designer, electronics technician for automation technology, industrial clerk, and warehouse logistics professional – stoba offers a wide range of apprenticeships, which has been an important part of our future-oriented approach for decades. There are currently 46 apprentices training in Memmingen and Backnang. Why did you decide to join stoba? How is the apprenticeship going in this exceptional situation? And what is important to the apprenticeship training managers? The C|X Team asked.

stoba is turning 60 this year. We would like to take this opportunity to think a little bit outside the box. What is the current status of our locations? And, what do they have planned for the future? First, we will hear from Peter Koutný, Managing Director at stoba in Brno - a city which is also known as ‘the Silicon Valley of the Czech Republic’. stoba Brno has been part of the stoba Group since 2016 and is our Center of Excellence for unique hard machining technology for processing valve surfaces and profiles. What makes this technique special is that it is an extension of technology from the watch industry. Today, it provides us with highly precise surfaces with extremely low tolerances.

Video calls instead of meetings in the office, a chat message instead of calling over to the office next door, remote maintenance instead of long drives, and on-site service.
